Bullet's Secret Affair
 Sire
Pedigree
During
our search in TN/KY for suitable mares I ran into Secret. This coming 3 year old
mare was just a few months under saddle and indeed 'green broke'. A trailride in
the hills of Tennessee made me fall in love with this elegant lady. Needless to
say we didn't want to skip the opportunity to import new bloodlines to Europe and
decided to breed Secret prior to the transport overseas. Secret
was imported in Augustus 2000 and in foal to
Got
Rox Wolfman (1987 TWHBEA World Grand Champion Model class). On May 8, 2001
she delivered a healthy studcolt
Pleasure's DreamCatcher aka Wolfie.
Next to being a broodmare, Secret is also a nice
ridinghorse. Most people who visited us to meet the Walking Horse in person had
their first flat walk experience on Secret. This mare has proven herself more than
once as 'test riding'- and ridinglesson horse. Over the past 7 years, the 2 of
us shared many adventures and established a solid band. Secret still is my
favorite mare for long trailrides.
We joined the European TWH Championship
several times with Secret. In 2002 Secret and I got a 3rd in Western 2-gait and a
6th place in the English 2-gait. In 2003, Secret got a 3rd place in the Halter class together with Denise de Nie.
She was ridden by Isabelle Hendrickx in the Waterglass class and won
another yellow ribbon. With Sharon Kessler (Israel) she became 6th in the Water
Glass class of 2004.
Secret delivered a healthy studcolt on May 1st 2004. We named him
Pleasure's Foreign Affair aka Ollie. Ollie inherited the disposition of both
his parents; people oriented, willing to please and he loves attention.
He is very naturally gaited just like his big half brother Wolfie. Ollie his sire
is A Red Morning Sun.
We bred Secret to our own stallion Potter
in 2005. Our waiting and sleepless nights were rewarded on August 15th
with the arrival of this beautiful sorrel filly. We named her Pleasure's
Sakara which means 'fire'. Fire is the symbol of spirit and intuition;
one of the elements out of the
rainbow-legend. If you like to keep
track of Sakara, check our
kids corner.
Not sure wether we should rebreed Secret
we decided to let nature follow its course. Potter and Secret have been
together 24/7 after the birth of Sakara. During the foal heat Secret was
bred and declared safe in foal for an early August delivery. On June 11 she unexpectedly started
bagging up. On June 14 2007 Secret delivered a fully grown classic
champagne filly. It was not meant to be and the foal was stillborn. We
named the filly Pleasure's Anna Belle so she would not be forgotten.
Secret was given time to heal and she has been very valuable as a lesson
horse ever since.
Together with her and Spirit we joined
the funshow at Gangpferde Vierhaus in 2009. Click
here for a short video. We feel Secret
has done her share in promoting the breed and giving newbies to gaited
horses their first experience of the smooth gaits on board of Secret.
Therefore we offered Secret to a good home so she can enjoy
trailrides and getting 1 to 1 attention which she deserves. Meanwhile we
found a perfect match and wish Secret and Camilla many happy trails.
