A small group of
horses is waiting for transport to Europe somewhere in the United States of
America. Among these horses there is a unusual light colored mare that is
obviously heavily in foal. She is supposed to give birth in Europe but that
seems to be an impossible job for her. Later that day she delivers a healthy
golden studcolt. The owner decides to postpone transport and exports the mare
with foal by her side several months later.
The sire of the colt is
The Pride Piper,
a sorrel stallion with old bloodlines who won the Reserve Lite Shod Champion
title at the National Celebration at the age of 7. Besides this accomplishment,
Piper established a name for himself in Model, Lite shod and Plantation
divisions.
In the following years, Piper proved to be an exceptional breedingstallion
siring natural gaited,
beautiful colts with outstanding athletic ability. His
colts tend to be large with good bone, yet elegant refinement, nice and willing
dispositions, and petite, beautiful heads.
What looked like a palomino colt
at first, appears to be a Golden Champagne color. The blue eyes at
birth prove Potter inherited the rare
champagne gen of his dam
Hyland Champagne. The blue color
slowly changes to green and becomes amber when the horse matures. Potter was offered for sale at
the age of 5 and that is when we met for
the first time. Despite his lack of experience and untrained body, his movement
is loose and strong without a tendency to be pacy. He could compete with his
sire looking at his conformation and besides this his disposition is oustanding
and that what makes me fall for him... A laid back stallion with a
positive and happy expression.
Besides being a registered and bloodtyped Tennessee Walking Horse, Potter is
also registered with both Champagne registrees;
CHBOA and
ICHRegistry
and is foundation stallion with the
Pleasure Saddle
Horse Registry.
As of 2006 Potter is officially
at stud. Potter has had a vetcheck including x-rays of his legs
and feet.
